Among the areas of emphasis for The Rubicon Group are: • An orientation to the profession through the lens of a neo-vitalistic perspective that serves to inform and influence an ethical orientation for the profession, an epistemological framework for the profession and a societal context for interface with other healthcare providers as well as the general public. • A focus on the practice of Chiropractic that reflects a neurologically centered approach to addressing the biomechanics of the human, as well as other vertebrates, that emphasizes the inborn ability to heal and avoids the use of medications or surgery whenever possible. • An application of contemporary-based subluxation theory grounded in neuroscience in the care of patients and the use of chiropractic-centric terminology to convey the unique meaning and intent of the care provided by the chiropractor.
